RAMM, Exeter | Spring School 2013 | BP Portrait Award: Next Generation

–The plan for today and tomorrow is to work
from some life models—we have a female model and a male model—to continue to help ‘free
up’. –I’ve enjoyed the two-minute drawing sessions
because it’s made me really focus on details. –It’s made me a lot more interested in life
drawing, as I tend to work from photographs normally, so now I want to stretch myself
a bit more. –I’m looking forward to tomorrow where the
artist comes in and we can talk to them about… really, career-wise, it’s really helpful. –We got the kids drawing almost immediately,
as well as a trip up to the gallery. They were looking carefully at different techniques
all over the gallery, it’s such a splendid exhibition for that.
It’s the first time we’ve done anything like this since we reopened after the major redevelopment
about thirteen months ago. It’s started off a whole new set of things of things for us
to do in our newly reopened museum.
