Almost Edible DIY School Supplies!!

uh, French fries… anyone? Hi guys! Welcome to my channel! I hope you are all doing very well. I’m so excited about today’s video. We are making DIY school supplies that look
so much like real food – they are almost edible. If you are curious about how I make these…then
keep watching! Our first DIY is a delicious McDonalds french
fries pencil holder. You’ll need a small box for this – and if
you’ve watched my previous videos you know where this box came from. if you haven’t watched it, I highly recommend
you do. I’ll have a link at the end of this video
and in the description. We’re going to draw the shape of our pencil
holder similar to the french fry boxes with the curvature on top and cut it. I painted mine with a white base first because
I wanted to make sure I covered all the colors from the original box. Once it’s dry, paint it in red. I did 2 coats of red and left the M un-painted
as you can see, now painting yellow part is much easier. While you let everything dry, we are going
to make the inside part of the container with some white and yellow paper. Cut some strips of about a quarter inch wide
and paste them on your white paper. I cut them so they fit inside my box and glue
them. Using a black sharpie marker, I outline the
M letter. Of course you can use this pencil holder for
any type of pen or pencil but adding yellow pencils definitely makes them resemble more
like french fries. Now you can leave this just as is… but I
love adding faces to things so I added a cute face to mine. For our second DIY – we are making a pocky
pencil case with pocky pencils. yes, that’s right… those are pencils. For this you’ll need 2 empty pocky boxes. I got these pocky pencils from a Japanese
store nearby my house, which inspired this DIY. But if you can’t find these, you can definitely
swap them for real regular pencils. you’ll also need a zipper 10 to 12 inchees
long and a hot glue gun. What you’ll wanna do is open one of the boxes
through the top and the second one through the bottom. You’ll see why in a second. Measure how long your pencil is. We’ll be basically combining 2 boxes to make
the top and bottom of the pencil case. Cut the second box to the size you need and
the little flaps from the first box. Using your hot glue gun, glue the zipper to
each side of the box. This can be a little bit challenging so take
your time with this. You should be able to open and close your
cardboard pencil box I decided to cover the edges between the zipers
with some felt. And that is it guys – super easy…almost
edible pocky pencils in a pocky pencil case, wow that was a mouthful. Our last DIY is even easier. I actually cheated a little here. I bought these miniature food erasers. I know… what?! These are so cute and so real. I went a little bit crazy and bought several
as you can see. I have an apple, a burger, french fries again
I know, what looks like a milkshake or soda, some fried rice, dumplings, and ice cream,
because you can’t skip dessert right? i found this perfect container, usually used
for medicines or small knick knacks. I wanted to use this to store my erasers and
make it look like a real bento box with a bunch of random food haha. I hope you guys liked all these DIY ideas. If you like these kind of videos, make sure
to give me a thumbs up and subscribe so you don’t miss any future videos. I don’t know about you guys but after seeing
all these food-like school supplies, I’m pretty hungry now so I’ll see you guys next time! Bye!
