NOW PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO LIKE EVEN LET THEM TOUCH THEIR WATER BOTTLES AND STUFF.>>TEACHERS HAVE KIND OF BEEN LIKE, DON’T SHARE DRINKS AND DON’T SHARE FOOD. DANA: THE EL DORADO UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT SUPERINTENDENT SAYS THEY LEARNED LAST WEEK ABOUT THE CONFIRMED CASES AND NOTIFIED PARENTS. VIRAL MENINGITIS IS AN INFLAMMATION OF TISSUE THAT COVERS THE BRAIN AND SPINAL CORD. IT COMES WITH FLU-LIKE SYMPTOMS. THE EFFECTS, THOUGH, ARE NOT AS DIRE AS THE BACTERIAL FORM. SYMPTOMS FOR VIRAL MENINGITIS INCLUDE — FEVER, HEADACHE, STIFF NECK, SENSITIVITY TO BRIGHT LIGHT, SLEEPINESS OR TROUBLE WAKING, NAUSEA, VOMITING , LACK OF APPETITE, AND LETHARGY. STUDENTS WE SPOKE TO ARE RELIEVED THESE CASES OF MENINGITIS WERE NOT WORSE.>>AT LEAST WE DON’T HAVE THAT , BECAUSE IF WE DID HAVE THE BACTERIAL ONE, I PROBABLY WOULDN’T BE COMING TO SCHOOL A WHOLE LOT.
